CHARLOTTE — North Carolina’s contract with StarMed Healthcare for COVID-19 testing sites has come to an end, Channel 9 has learned.
StarMed says that means the total number of its testing sites will be reduced.
However, the health care provider plans to keep giving people access to COVID-related services at no cost -- including people who are uninsured.
StarMed is also now a community access point for at-home tests. Right now, people can visit the west and east Charlotte locations to pick up 10 free at-home COVID tests.
Morning, #Charlotte! Just want to let you know we are a C19 Community Access Point where you can easily pick up free rapid tests fast.
