Stanly Co. commissioners vote against 'prompt review' of superintendent investigation

STANLY COUNTY, N.C. — Stanly County commissioners voted against a measure supporting the state's investigation into misconduct allegations against the school superintendent.

Channel 9 has reported the state Board of Education is reviewing actions by Bill Josey.

The resolution requesting a prompt review failed by a vote of 5-2.

Josey was in a relationship with a now-former teaching assistant.
