Sprawling residential development planned in Statesville

STATESVILLE, N.C. — A large residential project is being proposed in Statesville by a developer based in the region.

True Homes is seeking to rezone 157 acres there for a project called Larkin Front 9, which would include 380 residential units. The land is located between Amity Hill and Whites Mill roads, next to Larkin Golf Club. Statesville City Council held a public hearing for the project last week. That public hearing and first reading for the rezoning request will be continued at the council’s May 3 meeting.
