CHARLOTTE — Lenny Boy Brewing Co. has invested roughly $500,000 to add an event space to its South End home.

That 6,000-square-foot event hall, called Griffith Hall, will provide an additional revenue stream for the brewery.

“I think the event hall is really the last big piece to our company’s goals, allowing our whole facility to run at an efficient and optimal capacity,” says Townes Mozer, founder.

The organic kombucha and beer brewer’s home is at 3000 S. Tryon St.

The space has capacity for 400, with technology including surround-sound audio and a projector. There’s a bar with 15 draft lines, full restrooms and private terrace space.

Mozer expects to host everything from weddings and corporate events to community fundraisers and concerts.

“We’ve always been known for our events. This expansion will allow us to host bigger and better events to bring Charlotte together,” he says.
