CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police swarmed an uptown apartment building Friday afternooon in search for a homicide suspect, but the suspect was not found.
Sources close to the investigation told Channel 9 the search on West Trade Street was in connection to the quadruple shooting at the Post Uptown Apartments on North Graham Street.
From Chopper 9 SkyZoom, we could see police surrounding the Centric Gateway Apartments. Officers were seen at every entrance and a K-9 officer was seen entering the building.
Officials said someone rented an apartment on AirBnB to host a graduation party and summer kick-off party.
CMPD said 24-year-old Calvin Haines was killed and three others were injured.
"The crime needs to stop. It has to," resident Davon Owens said. "It's really important that they apprehend the suspect and solve the crime."

No arrests have been made.
