ROCK HILL, S.C. — The son of a well-known Rock Hill lawyer who shot and killed his father more than two years ago was sentenced to five years in prison Tuesday.
Channel 9's partners at The Herald report that Osiris Hinton pleaded guilty, but mentally ill, to manslaughter.
Hinton has been treated since 2011 for schizophrenia.
He admitted to killing his father, Cyrus Hinton, at the family's Spartanburg home.
His mother blamed the killing on medication.
