INDIAN LAND, S.C. — A Greensboro-based transportation service company is officially moving its headquarters across the state line.

Snider Fleet Solutions is relocating its headquarters to Indian Land, a move that calls for a $6.9 million investment and the creation of 167 jobs in Lancaster County. The relocation will consolidate previous office locations in Greensboro and Newton to a new space at 1081 Red Ventures Drive in Indian Land.

The new operations are expected to be online next month. Tuesday morning’s announcement of the project comes after Lancaster County Council gave final approval for an incentives agreement for the project at its meeting Monday night.

The Snider project was considered for incentives in Lancaster County under the codename Project Spider. The Charlotte Business Journal reported last week that Snider Fleet Solutions was the company behind the proposed project.
