Charlotte Beer Garden opens in South End

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Beer Garden made its debut on Wednesday in South End.

Owner Niall Hanley says the goal is for the concept to become one of “the” tourist attractions for beer in the Charlotte market. It boasts 436 taps — enough, it hopes, to snag the official Guinness World record this fall. Sister concept Raleigh Beer Garden currently holds three world records for its beer selection.

“Rather than be another brewery, I want to open something that will showcase all the beers in the area,” Hanley says.
