CHESTER COUNTY, N.C. — A skydiver was seriously hurt after he made a hard landing Thursday at Skydive Carolina in Chester County, authorities told Channel 9.
Officials said the man hit a tree and then the ground outside a fenced-in area. The man was flown to a hospital in Charlotte with serious injuries.
Officials said he was alert and talking to emergency crews at the scene.

No other details have been released at this point.
Thursday’s incident was the second skydiving accident this summer at Skydive Carolina. On June 6, a Florida man, Justin William Swaggerty, was killed when he missed the target and landed on a plane, officials said.
Skydive Carolina has been in business since 1986.
