CHARLOTTE — Sixty Vines puts the spotlight on making wine accessible — and sustainable — as it cracks into the Charlotte market.
The Dallas-based brand’s 8,000-square-foot restaurant opened in South End this week. It’s part of Vantage South End, at 1415 Vantage Park Drive, Suite 100.

Sixty Vines captures the feel of vineyards in Napa Valley, with 60 wines on tap, vineyard-inspired food and its décor, says Rae Phillips-Luther, chief brand officer.
“It’s really about sitting down and sharing incredible wine and foods. It’s a trip to wine country,” she says.
The brand caters to everyone with its “pinkies down” motto — aiming to take the pretentiousness out of drinking wine. Its clientele could be someone looking to grab a quick glass of wine or meet up with friends to those celebrating an important milestone.
A novice wine drinker can explore different varietals and vintages in 2.5-ounce pours — even sampling a flight of options. Those who already have a favorite can order by the glass or carafe.
