CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — A Silver Alert issued early Saturday morning for a missing 74-year-old woman has been cancelled.
The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office was asking for help Saturday to locate Nina Yvonne Richardson-Cannon who is believed to be have dementia or some other cognitive impairment..
The Silver Alert was cancelled around 1 a.m. Sunday morning.
Richardson-Cannon had last been seen at a rest area on Interstate 40 eastbound near mile marker 136 in Catawba County, near the Iredell County Line.
Deputies said she may have continued traveling eastbound on the Interstate.
Richardson-Cannon had last been seen wearing a burgundy sweater, striped shirt, blue jeans, and lace-up black sneakers.
Richardson-Cannon is about 5 feet, 2 inches and weighs around 140 pounds. She is described as having white, medium-length hair and blue eyes.
Richardson-Cannon was traveling in a 2015 brown Malibu Chevrolet with a North Carolina license plate with the number HCB7606.
