HICKORY, N.C. — Shots were fired into three homes over the last week on First and Second avenues, and police are investigating if the crimes are connected.

A resident said he hit the floor after three bullets were fired into his apartment in southeast Hickory.
One of the rounds went through his computer screen
Kevin Hines said he was watching a movie on his computer when someone fired shots from outside.
One of the rounds went through a front wall and another struck the refrigerator passing through it.
Hines said his first reaction was to get on the floor and get to his daughter and roommates before someone got hurt.
No injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
