CHARLOTTE — A shooting investigation early Tuesday had a busy east Charlotte road closed.
Officers were called just before 4 a.m. to the scene on The Plaza near Weldon Avenue.
Channel 9 crews could see crime scene tape roping off the road and a white Cadillac sedan, which appeared to have bullet holes on the driver’s side, flat tires and shattered windows.
Police had The Plaza blocked between Eastway Drive and East Sugar Creek Road. Around 5:30 a.m., officers opened the outbound lanes before the road was completely reopened about an hour later.
MEDIC said they had not taken anyone to the hospital but Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have not released any other details about the shooting.
