STATESVILLE, N.C. — A big-name paint and coating manufacturer is making a major commitment to expand in Iredell County.

State leaders this week approved incentives for The Sherwin-Williams Co. for a big expansion of its operations in Statesville. Documents show that the project calls for an investment of $324 million by the end of 2026 and the creation of 183 jobs. It is expected to expand the company’s manufacturing capabilities as well as establish a new distribution center.
