Sheriff: 2 dead, 2 hurt after shooting inside NC home

Two men are dead and two others are hurt after deputies said a suspect walked into a Fayetteville home early Wednesday and opened fire.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Two men are dead and two others are hurt after deputies said a suspect walked into a Fayetteville home early Wednesday and opened fire.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded around 5 a.m. to a report of a home invasion and shooting at a home on Charlie Drive.

According to Sheriff Ennis Wright, the preliminary investigation revealed that a man walked into the home and shot four men.

Two victims were shot and killed inside the home. One victim was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition. The fourth victim was hurt, but is expected to be OK. The victims’ identities have not been released.

It’s unclear if any arrests have been made.
