ANSON COUNTY, N.C. — State troopers investigated two separate crashes in Anson County on Monday afternoon, both involving tractor trailers.
Officials said the crash on U.S. 74 in Lilesville was deadly. They said the driver of the truck, 59-year-old Eugene Polk, had a medical condition that caused him to crash.
Troopers said Polk died in the wreck.
One hour later, a tractor trailer carrying mulch flipped along 74 in Polkton.
Troopers are still working to determine the cause of that accident.
Chopper 9 Skyzoom flew over the scene as crews loaded mulch onto another tractor trailer.
