NORTH CAROLINA — Twenty North Carolina communities are getting millions of federal funds to improve housing.
Many of these towns and countries are in areas hit hard by Hurricane Helene.

Yancey County is set to receive $4 million, Valdese will receive $1 million, and Boiling Springs is set to receive $950,000.
Wadesboro and Norwood will also receive around $1.5 million.
The money will be coming from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
