Several Charlotte hotels rated among the best in the country

CHARLOTTE — Nine Charlotte hotels are among the best in the country, earning Gold and Silver Badge status from U.S. News & World Report.

The publication revealed its 2023 rankings of Best Hotels on Tuesday, with breakout lists for hotels, resorts and all-inclusive properties in the United States, Europe, Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean and Bermuda. The feature highlights more than 35,000 luxury hotels across 400 destinations. Rankings factor in published travel experts and the overall customer satisfaction in online guest reviews via TripAdvisor.

Luxury hotels are rated — 3.5-, 4-, 4.5- and 5-star — with those in the 90th percentile or above earning a Gold Badge. Those attaining the 70th percentile or above earn a Silver Badge.

Three uptown Charlotte hotels earned Gold Badge status — The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte; Grand Bohemian Hotel; and The Ivey’s Hotel.

Six properties earned a Silver Badge.
