CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — A bracelet that was meant to inspire students at a local school ended up causing backlash for school administrators because of one of the words on it.
The bracelets were inside gift bags that were given out at Great Falls High School. They say: “Be Strong. Be Brave”
But they also say, “Be Bad [expletive].”
It’s that three-letter word that caused some parents to raise an eyebrow.
District leaders in Chester County told Channel 9 on Tuesday that an administrator bought the bracelets on Amazon, but they didn’t notice the bad language.
The district has since apologized to parents, and a spokesperson said they’re taking steps to ensure the mistake doesn’t happen again.
