SCDRO gives Friday deadline for assistance in Hurricane Matthew recovery

People who were hit by Hurricane Matthew in 2016 and applied for housing assistance through the South Carolina Disaster Recovery Office must finish their application and turn in all supporting documents by Friday, officials say.

Officials said those who do not complete their application by Friday will be dropped from the program.

If you are unsure what documents are missing from your application, call the intake office at 844-410-8560, or visit at 2543 E. Highway 76, Suite 110, Marion, South Carolina, 29571 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

South Carolina Disaster Recovery Office plans to serve approximately 1,350 homes affected by Hurricane Matthew. Eligibility and priority are based on income, age, dependency and disability. The SCDRO program is designed to help eligible citizens return to a safe, sanitary and secure home.
