SC teacher dresses up in costumes for online classes to make students smile

ONSLOW COUNTY, S.C. — A South Carolina middle school teacher is trying a creative way to make her online classes more entertaining and fun for her students during the coronavirus pandemic, WCTI reported.

Jill Lott said she dresses up and paints her face every day. She said she has a different costume each day and had a new theme each week.

Lott said she has dressed up as animals, superheroes and much more to try and make her students smile.

“Today is all about missing work and making sure you have all of your work turned in," she said. "So I’m an owl and my question is, ‘WHOOOO is not done with their work today?’”

Lott said dressing up makes teaching seventh grade even more fun despite the circumstances due to COVID-19.
