HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — The Huntersville Fire Department responded to a serious accident on Highway 73 near Blythe Landing on Tuesday.
The accident happened around 1:40 p.m. Sam Furr Road reopened around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Authorities have not said what caused the accident, which appears to have at least three vehicles involved.
One person was taken to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
The Huntersville Fire Department tweeted photos from the scene, which showed debris scattered across the roadway.
