CHARLOTTE — A former pediatric nurse who never smoked found herself bedridden and diagnosed with stage four lung cancer.

Ann, a former pediatric nurse, has a type of cancer called adenocarcinoma, which is common among non-smokers.

Treatment has included surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and an immunotherapy. However, the cancer still spread.

“I was kind of running out of options, truthfully,” Ann said.

In the video at the top of this webpage, learn how her condition improved while participating in a clinical trial.
