ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A deputy was injured in a crash in Rowan County on Friday afternoon.
The crash happened on East Ridge Road at Sells Road north of Salisbury.
Deputy Charlie Ashby was taken to Novant Rowan Hospital but his injuries are not believed to be serious.
Cody James Mullis, the driver of the car that hit the deputy, was ticketed. Mullis was also taken to the hospital.
