ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Rowan County deputies arrested a man Saturday morning who was already charged in connection with a 2018 murder investigation.
Officials said Cory Harrington, 26, stole two cars since November 2019.
Deputies said they stopped a car on Stokes Ferry Road Saturday morning that was reported stolen from Salisbury. According to authorities, Harrington then jumped out of the car and ran into the woods.
Officers said Harrington was quickly taken into custody, along with his passenger, 28-year-old Daniel Yates.
Harrington was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Yates was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In December 2019, Harrington was added to the Sheriff’s most wanted list after deputies said he stole another man’s car before leaving it in High Rock Lake.
Harrington was also charged in connection with the 2018 murder of Melanie Clark. Officials said he used Clark’s credit cards after she died.
Clark’s grandson, Josh Clark was charged with her murder.
Harrington is being held with bail set at $25,000 and Yates with bail set at $10,000.
