MINT HILL, N.C. — Rocks tore into a couple’s home Friday on Statesman Drive in Mint Hill and they blame blasting from a construction site next door.

They are questioning if it is even safe to live in their own home.
“If you look, there’s a rafter right there and that rock came so fast, it hit the roof, split that 2x10 or 2x12 rafter and sent it through the attic and still had enough momentum for a hole that big through our floor,” homeowner Danny Brown said.
