ROCK HILL, S.C. — Open now for more than two years in Rock Hill, The Pump House has secured a spot on OpenTable’s list of the 100 best al fresco restaurants in America.
The Pump House, located in Rock Hill’s 1,000-acre, master-planned Riverwalk development, opened in March 2016, serving up Southern-inspired American dishes and offering views of the Catawba River.
This is the first year that the waterfront restaurant landed on OpenTable’s list of top outdoor dining spots. It’s the only Charlotte-area restaurant to be featured on the list, which includes three other eateries in the Carolinas.
OpenTable, owned by online travel company Booking Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: BKNG), formerly The Priceline Group Inc., generates its list of the best U.S. al fresco restaurants from more than 12 million verified diner reviews on its website between May 1, 2017, and April 30. That covers more than 27,000 restaurants.
Each month, OpenTable also releases its Diners’ Choice lists for specific cities, breaking down thousands of new diner reviews on a monthly basis to find the top-rated local restaurants in various categories.
