Robinhood said to be looking at Charlotte for 300-job office

CHARLOTTE — Fintech company Robinhood is nearing a deal to add what could be a 300-job operation in Charlotte.

The Menlo Park, California-based company is rumored to have zeroed in on Charlotte for hundreds of jobs and a local office, multiple real estate sources have told the Charlotte Business Journal.

Robinhood develops an app that allows commission-free trades of stocks. The company made headlines amid the GameStop controversy earlier this year.

A spokesperson declined to comment when reached late Tuesday, but the company has dozens of local job postings listed on its website.
