MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — The rising Catawba River is causing a wet, soggy mess in the neighborhoods nearby.
Just up the river, lies the normally quiet Mountain Island spillway which instead looks and sounds like Niagara Falls after days of rain.

Duke Energy Hydrogeneration Manager Michael Brissie took Channel 9 behind the scenes to show us how they are trying to handle all of this water.
