Richmond County school bus drivers concerned about health during pandemic

RICHMOND COUNTY, N.C. — Students returned to in-person learning Monday in Richmond County, where there is social distancing and reduced capacity in the school.

Some bus drivers rallied outside of the district office instead of picking up kids.

They didn’t drive their routes over safety concerns because of COVID-19.

“We want them to understand that we do care about the kids,” driver Jonathan Nails said. “They are our concern, but we still have to take care of us.”
