CHARLOTTE — The Carolina Panthers have filed a rezoning request for Bank of America Stadium with the Charlotte City Council.

The technical rezoning filing was expected after city leaders approved millions in funding for the improvement project.

Tepper Sports and Entertainment is seeking an Uptown core, exception land designation but the terms of the renovation project have not changed.

Charlotte City Council will hold a public hearing and vote on the project in the coming months.
