CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Maryland natives Joseph ‘Jay’ and Miketa Davis met in Charlotte, while taking down a bail jumper in 2016. He was a bounty hunter; she was the bait to lure in their target.
Fast forward five years. The duo is now married — and catching hungry diners.
They launched the popular LuLu’s Maryland Style Chicken & Seafood on Tuckaseegee Road in November 2019. A second restaurant is under construction in Plaza Midwood and should open this spring.
