CHARLOTTE — This authentic Mexican tortilleria is targeting a summer opening on Charlotte’s west side.
Maiz, Agua, Sal — named for the meal, water and salt use to make fresh tortillas — has signed on to the Lower Tuck adaptive-reuse project. Plans call for a 3,000-square-foot restaurant and 2,000-square-foot rooftop patio with views of uptown’s skyline.

That restaurant — called MAS for short — is the latest concept from the team behind Craft Growler Tasting Room & Shop and Lincoln Street Kitchen & Cocktails in South End.
