CHARLOTTE, N.C. — With the dawn of a new year came the debut of several Charlotte-area restaurants and watering holes.
Among those is another new Italian restaurant in Charlotte. The owners of True Crafted Pizza at Stonecrest in south Charlotte have added Osteria LuCa at Park Road Shopping Center, with a menu offering a range of wood-fired pizzas in addition to appetizers, entrees, salads and sides. Lunch service is expected to roll out this month.
Other new spots include Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit, a spinoff of Callie’s Charleston Biscuits, in South End; a restaurant at Catawba Brewing Co.’s tasting room in the Belmont neighborhood; a new brewery in South End; and an indoor mini-golf course and 1970s-inspired lounge in Plaza Midwood, among others.
And more is still to come. The Goodyear House, located in a renovated mill home in NoDa, will open its doors Tuesday, serving up Southern-inspired fare with an international twist, while the wait is a little longer for other establishments. That includes two separate cigar-lounge concepts, one each for South End and uptown, set to open later this year.
