CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte saw an infusion of sweet treats and French eats in July.
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams’ anticipated opening in South End came last month, with an official grand opening pegged for Aug. 9. The signature gourmet ice cream and frozen yogurt shop is located at the Design Center complex, where it’s serving up flavors such as Salty Caramel, Wildberry Lavender and Milkiest Chocolate.
Elsewhere in Charlotte, an upscale French brasserie has opened its doors at 300 South Tryon in uptown. La Belle Helene is now offering its traditional bistro menu for dinner service and expects to add lunch hours next week, with brunch coming in the future.
