CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Residents are outraged with what they call “loud racing” right outside their homes in southwest Charlotte.
Neighbors told Channel 9 that dozens of young people drift in neighborhoods almost every weekend -- sometimes till 2:30 a.m. in the morning.

They said the drivers speed through empty parking lots and race around in circles.
“Grow up...Grow up! How would you like it if we came in your neighborhood and did something similar that kept you and your kids up all night?” one neighbor said.
