CONCORD, N.C. — Developers have been trying to build on a plot of land off Odell School Road in Concord for years.
They just offered a new proposal that includes hundreds of homes, but neighbors maintain it's still just too much for the roads and schools to handle.

“I grew up here from childhood and been here a long time,” said Trent Marlow.
Marlow and his family have lived off the busy road for more than 40 years.
“There’s been a lot of growth in Concord. There continues to be a lot of growth. People want to be here and be right outside of Charlotte,” he said.
Marlow said he just received a letter in the mail explaining a proposal for the 276 acres across the street from his home.
