Dozens of seniors were bused far away from their senior care facility in June, and they were told they would be spending a few weeks at a senior summer camp.
The residents have not been allowed to return to Mint Hill Senior Living by the end of October.
The fire marshal issued a mandatory evacuation of the senior living building because of fire safety issues.
