CHARLOTTE — Research shows almost half of the people in charge of taking care of our loved ones are still unvaccinated, and the Carolinas are below the national average.
Some nursing homes in North Carolina have 90% or more of their staff vaccinated, but many are below 50% and a few are even at zero. This has some family members concerned.
“Oh yeah. The previous facility she was in had outbreaks all the time. All the time they had outbreaks, and it terrified me,” said Kristin White, who put her mother in assisted living about two years ago.
