WILKESBORO, N.C. — The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating after a man died following a crash in north Wilkesboro.
NCSHP says 58-year-old Roger David Harris was traveling on Mountain Valley Church Road when he ran off the road, traveled down an embankment, and hit a tree.
Harris was pronounced dead at the scene.
Harris had been reported as a missing person on Sept. 4 in Wilkes County.
NCSHP says the crash is still under investigation.
