CHARLOTTE — Built On Hospitality is expanding its portfolio with a craft cocktail bar.
Plans call for Chief’s to open in early 2024 with a focus on elevated libations and light bites.
It will be located at 3024 N. Davidson St. — next door to the hospitality group’s The Goodyear House. Plans call for the early 1900s mill house to be converted into a 50-seat, 1,800-square-foot space with an intimate indoor setting with bar and lounge seating. There also will be a small outdoor garden.

Built On Hospitality — founded by chef Chris Coleman, Sean Potter and A.J. Klenk — is also behind Old Town Kitchen & Cocktails in Rock Hill. It recently announced it had acquired upscale restaurant Haymaker in uptown Charlotte.
Chief’s stems from the musings of renowned mixologist Bob Peters, who recently joined Built On Hospitality as the company’s beverage director.
