CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Fans of the iconic vampire film The Lost Boys might want to think about a quick road trip in the near future.
Word has it a television remake of the 1987 cult classic is one of two film projects set to shoot pilots in the Wilmington area in the coming months.

The CW’s adaptation of The Lost Boys, with executive producer Rob Thomas, is preparing for a second run at a pilot episode with the boardwalk at Carolina Beach as the backdrop. One local business noted in a Facebook post that the project is seeking 200 extras.
