REIDSVILLE, N.C. — A Reidsville, N.C. man was killed after a log crushed him. The victim was logging in Rockingham County.
The victim’s co-worker had just left the area when the 30-foot log crushed him, pinning him to the ground. His co-worker returned and found him there. He proceeded to run to the nearest home to ask for help.
The homeowner let the co-worker use his phone to call 911.
“Frantic, you know, obvious,” the homeowner said. “He acted pretty serious and stuff and he just needed to get help to his buddy.”
The victim’s name has not been released yet.
