Real estate website and online brokerage Redfin names the Queen City among the top 10 migration destinations, where demand is driving soaring prices.

Charlotte is at No. 8 on that list, having logged an estimated net inflow of 28,546 people last year. That report pegs the local median home price at $357,000 as of December, up 20.4% in a year, while the average local rent payment for new leases rose 11.5% over the year to $1,730.
