ftl-elections — Republican Rep. Ralph Norman won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing South Carolina on Tuesday, the AP reported.

The district stretches from Rock Hill just south of Charlotte, south and east to Sumter.
Norman, a former real estate developer, has held this seat since 2017. He won it in a special election to replace Mick Mulvaney, who joined the Trump Administration and eventually became White House chief of staff.

“We got to be energy independent,” Norman told his supporters after his victory. “The price for groceries is up because the trucks carrying the groceries to the stores are having to pay exorbitant gas prices. We went to $1.50 for regular to over $4 under the Biden Administration.”
Norman defeated Democrat Evangeline Hundley, who has worked in real estate and construction.
