YORK COUNTY, S.C. — Nearly 100 gallons of water with radioactive materials leaked from a nuclear power plant in York County.

Duke Energy confirmed the spill last weekend at its Catawba nuclear power plant.

The company said the water contains a very small amount of tritium.

A spokesperson said the spill was not a threat to any drinking wells and it was reported to the nuclear regulatory commission.
