CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Several people want to know what UNC Charlotte has done to make the campus safer as students get ready to return to class.
The chancellor sent an email last week listing all the added safety improvements for the new school year which includes active shooter training, more police officers, metal detectors at large events and classroom safety instrucions.
The school also has an online questionnaire for concerned parents who want to address any issues.
The deadline for submissions is Friday.
School leaders will respond to the concerns with a video.
This comes months after a deadly shooting on the campus.
