CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Publix Supermarkets Inc. has signed a deal that will bring the grocer to uptown, ending years of speculation.
The Lakeland, Florida-based grocery chain has signed a deal for a 28,000-square-foot store at 10Tryon, at the northwest corner of Tryon and Ninth streets, says spokeswoman Kim Reynolds.
“We are excited to be a part of the growth that’s happening in our city. We’ve received numerous customer requests for a Publix in Uptown and look forward to bringing Publix’s premier service and quality to 10 Tryon,” Reynolds told the Charlotte Business Journal.
