CHARLOTTE — Publix Super Markets Inc. is once again growing its Charlotte market footprint.
The Lakeland, Florida-based grocer has inked a deal for a 50,325-square-foot store in Wesley Chapel. It will be part of the Publix at Village Commons development, at the southeast corner of Weddington Road and Waxhaw Indian Trail Road.
“We are excited to continue our growth across the greater Charlotte area with this new location in Wesley Chapel,” says Jared Glover, media relations manager. “We look forward to our new customers experiencing the Publix difference soon.”
The grocer’s expansion efforts include two stores currently under construction in south Charlotte. It recently held a hiring event for its Publix Super Market at Quail Commons, at 11525 Carmel Commons Blvd.
