Projects bringing brewery, new development to Lake Norman town could soon pass

CORNELIUS, N.C. — Two significant projects are moving closer to being greenlighted in Cornelius.

On Sept. 2, the Cornelius Planning Board will hold a specially called meeting to consider rezoning requests for Greenway Gartens and Caroline.

Those neighboring projects are being proposed by established players in Charlotte. Should they move forward, hundreds of residential units and a significant amount of commercial space would be developed.

It appears final approval of the requests could come soon after that meeting.

North Carolina-based developer Northwood Ravin is partnering with The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery on Greenway Gartens.

Caroline is being proposed by Charlotte’s Proffitt Dixon Partners.
